A buddy of mine who's a fair weather fan was talking about how the Yankees were gonna pick up Mauer and this and that and how we'd be left with nothing again... blah blah blah. It's gonna feel good to throw this one in his face.

Pretty much.

I stopped in at work today and let him know, and he said something to the effect of still not being able to beat the Yankees. Cop-out answer, go figure. I told him that was fine as long as we could beat everyone else, and he didn't have anything to say to that. :D
