not sure if this is in the right section or not but here it goes..i was jw what u guys thnk i should be gettn at the wheels..
1g 6bolt 4g63t: small 16g ported o2 housing tubular manifold full exhaust fmic kit intake Apexi Safc- tuned E85 550cc-650cc injectors walbro 255 lph lmk what ya guys think thanks guys! |
Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
I think you should be running premium with those injectors. Way too small with e85
FPR? Do you have an O2? data logger of some sort? Are all of these installed? but just based on the turbo, eh 325ish They are nice turbos. I put mine through quite a bit before she blew. |
Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
It all depends on what dyno you are talking about. On a good tune (by Shane)on DB's dyno, maybe 265-285 range on E85(if the injectors are big enough as Andrew said), probably in the low 200's with pump. MAP's dyno has read anywhere from 12-18% higher than that.

Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
no data logger im using a safcll..what about some 850'c as injectors?
|
Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
oh forgot to mention the car will run on 15psi for daily driving
|
Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
really depends on the tune and condition of the motor as well. Could be less than 200whp for all we know. Never know until you strap it on. Since it says you are in siox falls, try to find a local place to bring it to.

Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
Based on my expirence, im going to say 250 or less at the wheels. Mainly because of the SMALL 16g and the 15psi. When i had my small 16g on my last 2g, after spoolup it seemed to basically fall off on the power, (butt dyno). This was with 680cc injectors. on this 1g that i just bought, once i get it running, im not really sure how long it will keep the Evo 3 16g turbo on it, im used to much bigger turbos and i feel like im going to get the itch and upgrade. But ive never had an evo 16g on my car so who knows.
Some of the more effective mods to help your setup: Bigger turbo, even if its an evo 16g or 50 trim. Heavier clutch to transfer the power from the crank to the wheels better. Bigger injectors 2.5" FMIC Piping (if not already there) Cams SMIM Those are just some items that will give you a definite increase in power. After that you are looking in the range of the low to mid 300s. |
Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
If you're running e-85, at the least run 880 injectors. I really don't think a SMIM is necessary. Plenty of people making a lot of power on stock intake manifolds. I liked my small 16g turbo, made quite a bit of power (but dyno, also had hks 264's) but I was also running 20psi, that was spiking to 24psi. I'd say a ported s16g, with adequite fuel, could make high 200's at db. It's still gonna be very fun to drive, mine sure as hell was. But at 15psi, expect mid 200's. Oh need to add a wideband to that list.
Btw-have that front mount still, I can take pics today. |
Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
My brother's blue car had a very similar setup for a while, but with a clipped big 16g and comp 101200 cams. On pump gas, untuned and pig-ass rich (9:1) it made 211whp at like 18psi. With a propper S-AFC tune I'm sure it would have made more like 235-240whp.
http://www.scheides.com/albums/mitsu...6667.sized.jpg Those injectors and the S-AFC won't do E85 worth isht, you'll need dsmlink and ~850's or something for that. I would expect 280whp or so pretty easily. All of these numbers are on DB's dyno dynamics, which does read pretty low, and assuming you get a good tune done. |
Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
For comparison, this is the dyno sheet from my old 16G setup on my 1g:
Hahn Super 16G (8cm^2 exhaust housing) -FMIC -650's -FMIC -3" exhaust -MBC -272's -walbro 255lph -bunch of other things also, but these are the basics. This was on 91 octane at 23 psi on DB's Dyno Dynamics http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSMDyno1.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSMDyno2.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...t/DSMDyno3.jpg |

Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
dyno graphs are measured at the wheels. i would say around 20 ish psi. give or take a few depending on how your car reacts to everything.
|
Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
Your whp numbers will also depend a lot on the brand of dyno used and whether it's dynoed AWD or FWD. You would see a good 20-20% higher numbers on Excessive's Dynojet with the car converted to FWD than an AWD Dyno Dynamics.

Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
I made 210 awhp with a simular setup on pump
|
Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
I remember sleepydsm made 210 with his 14b,stock cams, around 20psi and maf-trans.

Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
aight..how about 20 psi, 850cc injectors, e85, n a very good safcll tune? maybe around 250ish?
|
Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
Its possible.. 800's are still kinda small for e85 though
|
Re: 4g63t modded estimated awhp?
again, safc isn't meant for 850cc You will be disappointed IMO
an SAFC is meant just for those 550-650 get a 2g mas with those injectors and tune out with the safc you are pretty well setup for pump gas! Save your money for DSMlink and upgrade later when something blows I loved my S16g when it was working and when I had a similar setup. Then I threw 272hks A standalone system E85 1150cc I think I maxed it out... It was instant spool and I loved it I hate the turbo that I have on it now. Laggy... Stupid free v trim... |
