And the storry goes...

This morning on the way in to work i'm cruising along with the traffic in the left lane averaging 65 70 most of the way. I usualy leave 5 to 6 car lenghts in front of me at that speed espeically in the morning when all the women are puting on their make up and finishing their hair.

So this F250 black with a guy in dark black glasses was riding my arse all the way from 694 onto the exit onto 94 east/south, and he mearged in without using a turn signal right behind me. So he rides my rear bumper the whole way down and because the left lane was moving better than the others he stayed in it until he saw an oportunity to pass me however he had to floor it and even then he didn't have enough room because the right lane was driving slower and he was coming up on a car really fast.

He didn't use a turn signal at all, and all of the sudden he just jerks over into my lane, at the last second i jerk really fast over to the left going about 70 my rear end lets loose and i correct it and it whips on the other side and i correct it again.. luckally it didn't hook up otherwise i would of started flipping, but it continues sliding and i was able to calm it down and continue driving.

I hop on the phone and call 911, tell them what hapend, and the truck continues switching lanes like crazy to run away. I follow and i get his plates and report it to the police, he saw me reading the plates and giving it to the person on the phone, i pull ahead of him and signall him to pull over. I merged over all the way on the right side and i'm on the phone with 911 and he comes up to me and starts swearing and bitching and i just let the 911 person listen and tell them its the other driver. The 911 person says they are sending a squad car and that we should stay there. I told the guy i'm done talking to him and he goes over into the truck and sits there, never taking off his sunglasses that are as totaly dark, can't see his eyes.

The State Trooper arives and he listens to me first in the presence of the other guy. I told him what hapend and the guy's statement says that i was tryin to race him and that i sped up when he was trying to merge. I didn't say anything until the cop looked over and noded for me to say it. Asks us for insurance and license, i hand him my license and go get the insurance info from the car while the other guy is there talking to him saying he don't have insurance. I hand him the insurance information and they walk over to the side talk more the cop goes checks something on the computer comes back asks the guy to walk over to the car, patts him down i think i saw him cuffing him and puting him in the back of the car. 15 minutes later the tow truck comes loads up the other truck and the cop checks out the inside of the truck and pulls out what looked like a rifle case and puts it on the front of the squad car.

So my damage is a bit of adrenaline rush and shaky hands along with a scratched side mirror. I go take pictures of the truck damage, and mirror damage and the cop walks out and hands me my license, insurance and police report.

His damage, tow, cuffs, and who knows what else or why he got taken away.
As i was pulling away i see another squad trooper and a squad car pull up.

From there i know nothing.. pictures comping up.

Nice work.

The last 2 times I've come back through Apple Valley on the way back to my house from Chads house.

I've had 2 - Yahoo's hauling ass up to me then riding my ass. (talking like there windshield is hitting my rear bumper close) Both were pick ups.

Both times I felt like getting even so I'd catch up or slow down to match the speeds of the car next to me so they couldn't pass. And I'd sit there for as long as I could till my turn.

Honestly I was hoping there would be a cop around so they'd get a ticket.

A) for speeding
B) Driving way to close
C) wreckless for swearving in and out of traffic

I mean honestly there was no call for it. they'd ride my ass (I was in Jenny's car) even though they could pass on the left.

Although after writing that I feel old.

LoL, i felt that way too when i called the PoLice .. but i also feel bad for screwing up the guys's day or probably whole next month.

I put myself in that situation. If i did what he did, that means i took a risk and i accepted all the consequences for my actions, so should he!

Don't feel bad! Those kind of driver's deserve it. Obviously something else appeared on his record for them to take him away and tow his truck. I say good for you Enes for calling 911!!!!

Kracka 04-13-2004 11:43 AM

Enes, you rock...but lace doesn't.

Matt D. 04-13-2004 11:44 AM

Glad you're okay, Enes. Regardless the guy was driving like an ass. If he cared about the consequences he wouldn't have done anything like that.

Nice work, good thing he didnt come at you with whatever was in that rifle case.

BuildADSM 04-13-2004 12:16 PM

Man that sucks! good for you for calling 911. I am one of the youngest on the board and I still would have done the same so don't feel old or anything. What were you in because I thought that you GST was black and your truck was red but that car looks silver I am guessing some sort of truck because it would be hard to roll a dsm. Well glad to hear you are ok.
also check you tires cause you could have bald spotted them pretty bad sliding like that.

Enes 04-13-2004 01:17 PM

I was in a 2001 Stratus R/T Coupe, and the back tires are pretty new Continentals, so no wonder they kicked out so easily.

Yes i will go get them re-balanced and i'll check for the bald spots?

if i was in my truck he would of seen 0 of my movement, hell i would of counteracted to the right and push the fuker all the way to the right side of the road or he would of end up flipping because my truck would of been bigger than his and his rear end would slide out before my front end would budge..

And flipping a car going 70 is not hard at all.. as long as the tires hook up with you going sideways you are screwed most likely or if they catch any roots on the road..

Darth_Laser 04-13-2004 01:29 PM

All i have to say is that you are the dominant force on the road!! my buddy had a similar case only the truck was swerving at him and i was in the passengers seat, my buddy was drivin a VW rabbit and i was just like swerve back and hit him..... long story short costed the VW nothing in parts and the 2002 grand cherokee about 3 or 4 thousand!!!

Enes 04-13-2004 01:31 PM

as you could see by the pictures, his truck was a pos and it was already beat up so i don't think he cared about few more scratches.
