I'm pretty impressed. If you 2.4 guys get your shit together, you'll be a force to be reckoned with. |
Fuck ya. I want one.

Notice he's running a straight T4.
Most of us are still using the either the Mitsu or T3 housings. -brian |
very nice numbers. :jammin:

Why discuss something that's already been discussed?

I see a Dodge 2.4 bottom end, stroked to bored and stroked to 2.6ish Liters, with a reverse flowing neon head in a DSM... Heh... Dimond from Mitus, Star from Chrysler Motor companys real red headed step child!
EDIT: How can the Avenger/Eclipse Head fit the Mitsu 2.4 bottom end, now im really confused. I assumed that since I see a Neon/Avenger/EclipseRS valve cover, that its a Avenger Head, and then assumed that it can only bolt on to a Dodge block, as in Neon 2.0 or Stratus 2.4... Not to the Mitsu 2.0 or 2.4.. Hrm... any ideas? |

Ahhh. well thanks for cleaing that up, I was very confused, cuz that head looked like a Mopar Head.

Hmmm...that 2.4 setup is basically the same as mine except the turbo (his is quite a bit bigger) and the intake manifold. It should be interesting! I actually hope I don't make that much torque, that is going to be hard on parts!!

2.4's rule.

Thats some pretty good numbers. Kinda low trap for 600awhp considering Nash is close to 130mph with 100fwhp less. I wonder how the stock tranny is liking all that torque and power. :) Not the quickest spooling thing in the world, but not terrible. Nash's 61mm on his little 2.0 is spooling faster than that 63 on the 2.4, especially considering the 2.4 is on an AWD dyno. The 2.4 is dropping power after 6500RPMs. That seems to be a reoccuring problem on a lot of the decent power 2.4 dynos that I have seen. On a 2.0 the same extensive list of parts would probably not start dropping power until past 8000+RPMs.

What do you think that could be? Head flow? Cams? I am guessing exhaust manifold, but it's only a guess.
|
I think those 132mph traps are from his old set up.
On Dsmtunes he said he can't wait to take it to the track this year to see what she'll run. Which implies he hasn't tested it yet. -brian |
Ither their is way to much displacement and not enough flow threw the head made for 2liters, or he is loosing power due to tunning with the AEM. If you are afraid to step outside the box and try new things, the ems is for sure not for you, unless you have thousands of dollars to pay someone else to set it up and tune it for you. I wounder why they let off at 35psi? thats when things start to happen.
