Thanks slushy ice chunks...

So, who else thinks this will not be covered under warranty? B7 A4...

What a crappy, weak undertray. Its the one covering fuel or brake lines on the passenger side. the front half ripped down and was dragging on the ground. I was like, wtf is that noise. Cool.

No one makes any aluminum ones. :( I might build up my own or reinforce the broken stocker with aluminum.

Im taking it in Thursday to have audi check on it, but I have a feeling thats a waste of time. They need to do some other recall crap, so it wont be a total waste of a dropoff.

I lost my entire undertray the first winter I had my car, so while I feel your pain I'm not all that surprised. Welcome to winter driving. :)

I lost my undertray awhile ago, just been driving with it off.

Ouch. This is why I don't have one on my car. Actually my POS never came with one haha. ;)

Better to have the ice chucks break the plastic than something more important ;) Ask Scheides why he is now running a tray.

Haha I remember scheides issue with his crank pulley. This protects nothing though, it covers fuel and brake lines running to the back, and acts as more sound barrier I guess.

I might just not run it at all. lol

Ouch. I ended up pulling my wife's Trailblazer front bumper off in Duluth this weekend. The funny thing is I told my father in law that it was going to happen to my STi instead, and I had no problem with that. So once she gets back, I'm fabbing up some bumper brackets for the TB, luckily it didn't crack the skin, so it doesn't need any real parts or paintwork.

They also improve aerodynamics. Every little bit matters when it comes to the EPA ratings.

I need to make one of these too.
I would get another one, it might of damaged those lines if the cover wasnt there. MN FTL.

What is it with all you guys and driving over road debris? If there's a large chunk
in my path, I have always had enough time to either steer around it or brake and
move or something. Quit sexting and drive! ;)

Re: Thanks slushy ice chunks...

It wasnt a large enough to see chunk that did this. It was a buildup of slush and the weight along with bumps and plowing through a bunch of the ice and slush, possibly while drifting, that busted the front mounting tabs. Which then let the front of it drag and crack.

Dropping it off Wednesday at the dealer..

Re: Thanks slushy ice chunks...

Let us know what it cost and then we will see which one would have been cheaper, factory plastic or custom aluminum
:)

I didn't know you could turn traction control all the way off in VAG products.

Re: Thanks slushy ice chunks...

ESP button turns all traction and stability control off. :D

So I took it to Carousel on Wed and they just called me about replacing the underbody peices that busted. He wanted to replace 4 pieces @ $600!! LOL So I told him to leave it alone and id fix it myself for $3 in aluminum and fiberglass.

I laughed at the man on the phone this morning. Bitches.

Also I think ill be getting this, its 250.
