DB Performance tuned my old Talon and I was very pleased, 300awhp on Holiday 92 octane and a SCM50. Was extremely happy to get those numbers since the gas was shit and the car didn't have any crazy mods.

Would go back again.

Shane @ DB would be my choice for tuning. You won't find anyone on this board who recommends RS though.

Re: where to get dyno tuned

I'd personally go with DB. Last time I tried to get tuned by MAP I went back and forth with them for a week about my choice of electronics (HKS VPC). When they finally agreed to tune the car they told me they were booked in the near future and they would let me know. Basically "don't call us we'll call you." They never got back to me. That was in April.
I like the guys that work there, and I understand they're busy. I'm not so upset with them that I wont buy parts from them anymore, but I'm going to DB for tuning from now on. Shane is a good guy and he knows his shit.

DB is the only way to go as far as tuning goes.

+1, I'll be going there to get the V tuned next year probably.

Looks like it's 100% for DB.

I dont know why everyone has a problem with Ron at Rs motors. I think he's a hell of a guy! And yes Shane is the man!

Shane at DB, hands down! I'm pretty sure my car would have of blown up several times by now without Shanes amazing tune.

I don't have a problem with him at all, seems like a nice guy and always willing to help out. I've just always gone to Shane @ DB and been very pleased.

I got to this party late, and there's no more room on his nuts to grab onto. Instead I'll say that I got my car tuned at DB because the price seemed like it would be better, they came highly recommended (as you can see in the above posts) and I already kind of knew Shane.

Ronald at RS seems to be building/tuning 600hp hondas and evos left and right, but I didn't know him, and I need someone tuning my car who respects it, and me, honestly. I can't just leave my car with anyone.

Ditto. Ron's tuning is fine, but I would rather personally goto Shane because he's got more experience. There's nothing wrong with RS, Ron has always been a cool guy.

Nothing against MAP and RS, as I like everyone that works at those shops but I recommend Shane and Danny at DB Performance.

But how long do they last? I see lots of stuff come out of RS but before long its back apart for one reason or another, the list of reasons is endless. I like seeing a shop that puts out cars and doesn't see them again for months or years.

The only reason my car runs right is because of Ron. I have had many issues with it and he's helped me the whole way. He just helped Kia and I know Kia was impressed. Not trying to start a Tuner war or anything at all because I think they all are good. I did go to Ron this summer and dint make the power I wanted to. So I went to shane 1 month later and when I came in I put down 335 whp and when I left it was 335 whp. I made the same amount of whp from both tuners. I had a issue with phantom knock and possible still do. I might of fixed it but I dont drive my car in the winter so theres no reason to get it back on the dyno. And by that time i will have the bbk-b on my car. I think shane is awesome at tuning and is hands down one of the best. And I believe Ron is up there too.
I know nothing about Kasey at Map but I know a buddy just got tuned there with his Evo and he loves the powerband and had nothing bad to say!
