Anyone local have work wheels?

I am looking around to see/test fit some work emotion KAI wheels on the talon. I really am curious to see how these bad boys would look on the car. I LOVE the more aggressive spoke design to them, but that comes with an offset, and wider rim. I know I have more clearance then most, being as I am on full coilovers, as opposed to strut/spring perched suspension like normal, but I'm curious to see how these look. Pics for reference:

I know these are popular with evos, but I'm curious to see fitment on a 1g. Anyone have leads on anyone local who'd let me borrow 2 wheels to test? I'd only need them for a very short period of time..

Quality = $$$

I was also pointed in this direction:

unfortunatly, with that offset, I fear that the wheels will stick out way too far. I hate how I cant get any good offset to the wheels with a 1g.

I agree, but on wheels I'll go the cheaper route.

Google image search turns up broken Rotas as the first result. :ugh: I'd stick with the brand name.

These were originally my wheels, the offset was 35mm

I can see skimping on some things, but not the things connecting me to the road. All metal is not created equal.

With that logic, sounds like you need a BMW since $$$ = quality. And they must use better metal in case you get into a car accident and your car gets crushed in the process.

Point being, it depends what you are using it for. I wouldn't use Rotas on a Heavily road raced car, but for a daily or weekend beater, they're fine. I'm sure they have quality testing like most/all companies who'd make such a part.

Have you ever looked at the Evo's crash test ratings? LOL There is a reason we had no '07 model here and instead got the '06 SE :D

I do agree with you though on one thing, Rotas are probably fine for a street car, but there is no way I would put them on a car that sees track duty.

Yes, as they work on evos fine, like what I posted. But, I want the wheels I posted, on a 1g DSM.

Just think of how the stock evo wheels are on 1gs with a 17x8 + 35 or +37 or whatever they are.... then minus 20mm of offset, then minus another 6ish mm so ... -26mm-ish which is a little over an inch(for something like that evo's which is probably a 18x9 +15 offset)... I believe it would stick out about an extra inch with your camber at 0. But that's just a guesstimation of offset calculating in my head.

REALLY old pic of it, but that's the clearest side shot I can find as quickly as I could. I still am more-so concerned with offset as cher explained, I'm not sure I'll get the look I want with out them sticking 4 inches out like mexi-rice.
