I need tq specs for the mains. i have stock main bolts and know the 4g63 is 60 ft/lbs I believe, but I wanna know the exact for a Hyndai Sonata.
|
I guess I found them on a hyundai online manual. It says 36-40 ft/lbs. Hmmm.... Does that sound right? I believe the mitsu ones are 47-51 ft/lbs.... and I guess w/ ARP main studs are 60 ft/lbs. What're your guys' thoughts on this? Go with Hyundai specs or go with Mitsu, or go with in between?

So much for running *just* a 2.0 this year huh ;)
Chris Sorry I can't help you with your topic here... |
This is not for me, it's for a buddy.

Personally, I wouldn't build the motor without at least a Hayne's manual on the specific car. Mitsu specs don't necessarily hold true on that motor. |
Whats with all of this secretive crap ;) Everyone will find out sooner or later. And keeping it "secret" makes people probe around even more.

It's not a secret, no one ever asked. Don't ask, don't tell ;)
Yes, I guess I did buy an engine from Mark Cook, hence why it is being rebuilt again. I found an online Chilton/Haynes? like manual that I guess Hyundai dealerships use, so I'm going off that. |
