Can you say tow rig?!?!?!?

2001 Ford F350 SuperCab XLT
V10 6.8L Auto 3:73 rear gear
Power everything with A/C
Has the optional Camper package from the factory
I installed the later model front grille (modified to fit) and clear front corner lamps.
I also had the Line-X spray in liner and bars installed for my RBW 5th-wheel hitch, Magnaflow muffler with stainless tip and the Y-pipe mod/fix.

Truck is not perfect, but it is mechanically in great shape, which is what counts. And for the price, I couldn't beat it.

81k Miles
Drove it home for $9700.00

Set my Montana 3380RL (13480 GVWR) on the hitch at full weight and it never got close to touching the helper spring, LOL. I thing the truck dropped at the most 1.5 inches in the rear.

I also installed a SCT tuner from 5-Star Tuning with three custom tunes, 91 octane Eco-Perf, 91 octane Towing and 93 Octane Performance. Mike at 5-Star tuning was great, they seem to specialize in V10 tuning. I can tell the difference on the Econo-Perf, drives really well. Torque converter locks up in 3rd gear instead of overdrive which helps with the mpg. At the most, 1-2 mpg gain, but I'll take what I can get, LOL.

You will when you stop at the pump more often on any cross-country trip. But the V10 is also $6-8K cheaper so that makes up for it. Hello 5mpg! Great looking truck though, I always loved the F350 dually's.

I'm getting about 14-15 mpg hwy with the tuner. Haven't put the trailer on it yet, but 5-Star reportedly has a great Tow/Perf program. I'll load it a couple of days before I pull with it to see how it does.

Here's why I bought the truck. My home office away from home. 37ft 5th-wheel.

Sweet truck. I've been looking at older F150's for towing the boat. I'm looking at ones a bit older than yours though, more in the 1993 range, and obviouslly a lot smaller. But yeah some have some nice price tags. Great looking truck wish I could afford something that nice. I'm jealous!

I did take it to Talladega for the race a couple of weeks ago.

I use it for my job. I'm now a HAAG Certified roofing inspector/estimator and I follow the storms. So I use it for my home away from home. I work for myself now, got tired of all the auto dealer b.s.

If anybody is looking to own a 5th-wheel or travel trailer, now is the time to buy it if you have the money. Mine is a 2005 model Keystone Montana 3380RL. New it sold for $51k (I have the original paper work that came with it), current NADA low is $31K, I bought it for $20K. It has the washer/dryer stack which is great for living out of it. These pics were taken while I was looking to buy it, it's not as messy looking inside anymore, LOL.

One really cool thing is that both the truck and trailer qualify as equipment and a business expense. They are both paid for in full. So I'll be able to write them both off over the next few years on my taxes. In the end they won't really cost me anything.

Wow, that's really nice inside, and for a steal of a price. I'd never imagine that would cost just $20k.
