Re: dam dsms
i hate $400 mistakes ...

Re: dam dsms
I think you need to figure out exactly what happened that caused it to blow up. You can't really just throw a ton of parts at a car then expect them to all magically work together.

Re: dam dsms
plugs are white showed signs of melting or lean condition. i guess the o2 leaned it out.
i knew it was bad but did not know to leave it or unplug it . 2 holes in the block 4 holes in oil pan and took out my bell housing one rod pounded so hard on the transfer case and cracked the bell housing. ? A .. how hard to replace and where do u find those just a lil info i i got it ready to be pulled now im sorta pissed cause now i have to find a bell housing on top of a short block.. would putting the evo3 turbo on there cause this to happen it was running stock boost witch was 10 psi and i had the cas retarded slightly ? i have a few heads and cams laying around i found some one with a stoker kit thats been used for 50 miles and then he dismantled the engine to go to a 2.1 all i need is a 6 bolt block and a 4g64 crank and id be happy with it if u are all curious to what i want to do im aiming for 350hp here is what i bought so far fp evo 3 16g a real one -installed aem wide band ugo -not here yet aem fic piggyback - not here yet 1000cc fic injectors not here yet and lph255 - should be here tomorrow adjustable fuel pressure reg - here eBay fmic kit 700cfm -not here yet yet i was going to buy crower cams 272s and keep going now a quest to build another engine witch i should have done the first time . grr:signs066: |

Re: dam dsms
Damn, the second and third picture... that would be my avatar. I can't even begin to imagine how the rod in the third picture got that way. I feel for ya man.

Re: dam dsms
well everything should be fine now i invested in a 6 bolt ... i am in the process of doing the balance shaft removal scratching my head on how to get that back berring out and back in
|
Re: dam dsms
You say something about the trans being wrecked? I could take a look at it and possibly repair it.
Auto or manual? Quote:

Re: dam dsms
well i did the shaft removal but i left one in there cause that back bearing is not moving so i made the other shaft seal it in there good and tight pretty sure it wont leak . commence putting head on tomorrow

Re: dam dsms
If you don't have the tool, you can use a big socket the same size as the bearing and a long extension. Put the extension inside the socket so you can use the flat side.
Is this a 2.4 this time? |
Re: dam dsms
