that sucked.
I know a few v8 motors that make 8000 hp.

It's called a top fuel dragster. Stupid hillbillies.

Oh neat it's on fire. Anyone have an extinguisher? No? OK that's cool. Just throw some water on the ground underneath the fire.

Not the greatest, but at only 2500 RPM the engine has at least 21,000lbs of TQ. Crazy!

Re: No replacement for displacement

Actually… now that it occurs to me, there is no possible way that this can make 10,000HP at only 2500 RPM with "just" 147.1 liters.

Look at the constants:

147.1 liters (8976CI)
2,500 Redline

Let's suppose that it actually makes peak output at 2500RPM.
(10,000 * 5252)/2500 = 21,008TQ

Solve for BMEP and you have (150.8*21008)/8976 = 352.94

Seriously, a BMEP of 353psi from an N/A vehicle? Shens!

Even if this engine was capable of F1 levels of efficiency around 220psi, that would amount to only 6250 HP at 2500 RPM. I think they really have no idea what it makes for power and pulled that nice round number from their collective asses...

Sounded like it was only running on 40 cylinders.

Im quite surprised they didnt use gasoline!

What they need to do is install 42 o2 sensors and give it a good tune.

Or not use a retarded engine.

Re: No replacement for displacement

Lets see if we can get swifty to stand right at the air intake of that motor, with the air cleaner off, while at wot!

Re: No replacement for displacement

It might not even do anything. And I didn't see any air cleaner on that thing.
