Technician Job Openings at my work
I know the job market is tough out there right now. Our company has finally reached a point where we are properly staffed as things have planed out for the most part. But there is one group in our company that, for the most part, is ALWAYS hiring because they just don't stop growing and needing more people, Field Services.
So, figured I'd post this up for anyone on here that might be interested in the position as I've seen quite a few posts regarding people not having jobs. https://sjobs.brassring.com/EN/asp/tg/cim_jobdetail.asp?SID=^F3TcpFEhoUiEmBfxjYXSavxjFQR f8CGj53aRSnADnWo2aXfv_slp_rhc_2hTqRNGSkVPMU_slp_rh c_3N0nviOQMpkiV_C_R__L_F_r0yQA_slp_rhc_V7x4JcbpGAG ifZZyPIhLlHiW0=&jobId=1009264&type=search&JobReqLa ng=1&recordstart=1&JobSiteId=113&JobSiteInfo=10092 64_113&GQId=0 That is the link to the job description. You are basically a "crane technician". Only thing is our cranes are a little more complex than the chain driven things you see around factories, and our used to move nuclear fuel. The job entails a bit of travel. This isnt' just some job for any old joe fresh out of highschool. You need to have some sort of credentials (some sort of technical degree whether it be from a graduate school, military, dunwoody, etc). The job is a mix of mechanical, electrical, and software. Everyone has their strengths, but you'll need to know how to work with all of those. Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, understand ladder logic, basic knowledge of PLC's is a plus, know how to use test equipment like multimeters, things of that nature. Anyhow if anyone is seriouslly interested, and has the proper credentials, let me know. I happen to be very good friends with the supervisor. So if you're interested let me know and I can look at getting your resume a little closer to the top of the pile. I don't know exactly what you'd get paid, but in my opinion they pay isn't too bad at all. There is also a lot of overtime involved, so you typically make a nice extra chunk of money on top of your base pay. One thing to keep in mind is it is typically Contract to Hire type situation. Our company does that a lot, so expect that might be what this entails. Also if you do get hired, and I am your "referrer", there is a $1000 bonus that I would receive, which I will split with you as long as you make sure to let them know I referred you. :) |
