Anyone else ever get the compressor tester hose stuck in their cyl head

I was trying to test the compression on my 2g, and the hose is stuck in there now! It just spins in place. I got frustrated with it and just left it in there. But I'm going to have to get it out eventually. Any one have any ideas?

Is it the fitting or adapter like a quick connect spinning or the actual threads in the head where the plug threads into?

thats a good question. I was thinking about my compression tester the quick connect is at the top for the gauge and the threads are crimped to the hose so if you twist with the hose on mine it wouldn't be the quick connect

A little less cow bell next time you thread the hose into the head, the threads do most of the sealing and the o-ring takes care of the rest. It sounds like the hose is turning but the threaded part is not. So pull really hard and turn or pull hard enough to pull the hose off the threaded part, then use a needle noise vice grip to pull the fitting out of the head.

That is what I was thinking also. I never tried to get it really tight on my car due to the possibility of not getting it out.

I've had that happen before many years ago, it was from using a cheap Summit brand comp tester. I do remember having to dig down in there and cutting the hose out of the way and using a socket or a long skinny wrench and reaching down in and removing it. It was the two pieces of the gauge itself that were supposed to not ever spin but had loosened up and would spin. Of course not before I put it in there and I didnt screw it in hard at all.

Same thing happened to me, pulling and twisting didn't get it out, so I had to go buy some super long needle nose pliers to get it started.

So I tried pulling it out and all I did was tear the hose. Guess I gotta throw my nail clippers away now.....
