I need to give a HUGE thanks to everyone that has helped me out with my car in the recent weeks!
QPR, Mike, Allan, Swanny, thanks for getting Sheet Metal and cage done by in time for dyoning and Rock Falls. And everything else you have done to help me get my car to where it's at right now. Elite Autosport, Shane, Mo, Tyler, thanks for the dyno time, and putting up with me while I'm up there getting in the way. Mark, John, Jet, Craig, Ryan, Joe. Thanks for all the help working on my car, and great deals on the parts I needed fast with out any complaints. And everyone else that I didn't metion. If it wasn't for all the help I would of given up long ago on DSMs. :toast: |
Glad everything worked out for you Andy!! :D It was cool seeing the cage go in!!!
|
You are welcome Andy ;) It was cool to be part of a team effort like that. Like you mentioned, there were many people involved including some that could be considered competition and it all seems to have come together pretty well.

I can't wait to see your car running at full capasity (working tranny) and a decent track.

No problem. It's cool to see a stock internal motor make 500+whp. Did the bracket hold?
|
Your engine is stock?? Wow I though it was built. Nice, too bad I couldnt help out ;)

Yep, the motor has stock internals.
That bracket is the shit, you should fab a bunch up and sell them! I didn't have a single problem with any of my couplers at the track, the car ran great! I just wish I could figure out how to drive again. |
What kind of bracket are you talking about?

Ok you see Andy's GM MAFT right. look at the coupler that holds the GM MAFT to the lower section of his I/C pipe. You seeh that piece of metal that's going over the boottom coupler looks like just a bar with 2 holes cut into it?
if you fallow the coolant resiviour line from the TB housing to the coolant resiviour it intersects with the bar. right by the Cruise Control unit. |
So the bracket prevents the lower coupler from flying off or what? You need some silicone couplers :) Those like the home depot ones I used and they blew off with 10psi not 30 hehe
