Front plate on 2g

I got pulled over for NFP last night, So it got me thinking of mounting it but dont really like it covering my FMIC. I was wondering if anyone has mounted theirs in other spots than the center covering the FMIC and how it looks. I have a 95 with 97-99 bumper. Pics would be nice!

Thanks!

I've seen some 2gb's with the plate on the left side of the opening. I have mine in the stock location, it only covers a little bit of the FMIC, it's fine IMO.

I made a bracket that comes out the fog light hole. I think it looked great!

I have a set of Mitsubshi license plate anchor/grommets and screws (like drywall anchors)

They will let you mount the plate anywhere you want on the bumper. You just have to drill two small holes

$5

What I did is take an old license plate, put a 90 degree bend on one edge, so the two holes are facing up. Screw that on the top in the inside of the opening then just bolt your plate onto the holes the other plate has. Therefor, no blocking the fmic and looks like a factory plate without screwing holes into the bumper

mr.98gsx that looks good. What did you make the bracket with and attach the bracket too?

I took out my crash support when I put on my fmic. So i just got a small 1/8'' by 2'' piece of metal and bent it kinda in the shape of a "J" but with sharp corners. I got some smaller pieces i used to make a little braket thing for the plate to attach to. I should have made a write-up, but I didn't lol. Basically, just get some metal and play around...That's what I did.

Take a bunch of pictures of all the cameros and corvettes and other cars with no front plate here in MN, then take them to court and say, why give me a ticket, when these guys go free? It's an innate hatred for all things things foreign by the law enforcement officers! ;)

My crash support is out too.. What was it you attached the bracket to? the bumper cover or a solid mount behind it?

I bolted it to the big black bracket thing that the crash support mounted to. It's pretty much right behind where the fog light is. I'd take more pics for you, but I sold my dsm a year ago :(
