finally putting my pics up
 

i have been a part of mitsustyle for a lil while now and really havnt been able to make many events. so i thought i would put some pics up of my car to get peoples thoughts on it. its a 97' gsx. bought it with 128k on it. had full exhaust, intake and a walbro 255 already on it. everything else since i have done. i blew the t-25 up a while ago. bought a china knock off evo3 16g from ebay and that blew in day and a half. so a buddy of mine had a 14b that had a really badly craked exhaust housing, i took the exhaust housing off the 16g and put it on the 14b. i also used the waistgate actuator off the 16g so the hybrid turbo now puts out 15psi. works prettty good. other then that i put some halo projector headlights on it and a set of 17'' motegi racing rims with brand new falken tires. can't tell ya how much i love those tires. i plan on doing a 6 bolt swap and dropping it. it also needs some body work. but im workin on it. its my baby. let me know what you think and if you have any ideas or suggestions im always ready to learn. thanks for looking.

good lookin 2gb man. I've read good and bad things about the china knock-offs...most of them bad but yeah. how many miles do you have on it currently? any leaks?

I just rolled over 148k on it two days ago. I have developed a major boost leak recently and am not sure where it's coming from. I have checked all the ic piping and connections three times but found no problems. I'm thinking it's my smic cause it was damaged when I hit a racoon a couple months ago. So now I'm trying to find a fmic with piping but money is tight right now so it's not lookin to good :-(

Looks pretty clean from the pics! Word of advice; no more china-knock-off parts! :D MHI makes a great turbo and there's plenty of other reputable vendors here that can help you get good parts on the cheap ;) Sounds like you have the right idea mod-wise though; just keep on top of the maintenance and she'll be good to ya!

Make a boost leak tester and fix the boost leaks that way. Very nice looking car and clean all around. Check out www.vfaq.com if you have not already for much usable help as well.

Painted dash or dash conversion??? thought Black dash's came late 98 spider's & 99's only.

Not completely sure here, but I think the Black dash came with all the tan interiors, and the ALL black interior only came in the 99s

gotcha.... hmmmm makes finding a black dash seem not so hopeless.... or maybe i can just wait for that in my next DSM some day.....

its a black dash and is stock. and i'm never buying parts of ebay again lol

Yep id ditch the ebay 16g, didnt do any good for me. Spooled good, just within a month I had ridiculous shaft play. Clean car though.

i tried an ebay 16g for over a year. At the end of that year it had the most rediculous in and out play in it and the compressor housing would wiggle freely, half the threads wwere shot. but no lie it still boosted awesome

ya mine boosted awsome too. was soooo loud! but then again it only lasted a day and a half....

It was great while i had it but every day i was just waiting for it to blow on me, so that got to be to much so i gave it away. what are your plans with your old blown 16g?

nothing at the moment, same with the other parts i have. just let them sit in my garage...

Hahaha i was behind you on broadway last night in my silver liberty with black rims, Probably blinding you with my unadjusted headlights. Not sure how i feel about how your turn signals blink, but other than that looked damn clean. do you need the 6 bolt swap yet? or is your 7 bolt holding. I would stick with that until if/when it goes. but if you need help let me know, i know what im doing
