At least it wasn't a turbo, looks to be 1.8. But still what a waste of DSM.

All those shots and the pax side front tire is still inflated?

Re: Extreme DSM wieght reduction

No, the picture doesn't show it well, but look a the curve of the wheel in relation to the ground. That tire is flat.

Ya, except mustangs are a dime a dozen, you would have to shoot like 4,000 mustangs to equal 1 dsm.

No kidding. I'm struggling to figure out what they've actually changed in the mustang's basic chassis in over 40 years.

viridionplague 04-26-2009 08:17 PM

Re: Extreme DSM wieght reduction

they have changed alot in the mustang chassis actualy

94-98 were alot like the older fox bodys. but still had fords poor 4 link rear end

99-04 had a strengthend shell and IRS options. both benifited from subframe connectors

05 to present are actualy considered very strong structuraly and do not benifit from subframe connectors

Re: Extreme DSM wieght reduction

IRS only came in the cobra R, didn't it?

viridionplague 04-26-2009 09:03 PM

Re: Extreme DSM wieght reduction

the 99-04 cobras had irs, R or not

however the rear subframe from 79 to 04 is basicaly the same
