rear susp and brake options
well recently i broke an axel so i bought a 4 bolt rear end and some agx's w/springs
im wondering what some decent upgrades for either suspension or brakes would be. i think ill switch out the spring for eibach pros any advice for upgrades would be much appreciated, im trying to keep budget down but i do have a bit to work with |
Re: rear susp and brake options
If you have the money k-sport coil overs are well worth the money. I love mine

Re: rear susp and brake options
id love to get some k sports but they are just to much right now, i got a good deal on some agx's so ill stick with those for a while
but thanks for some feedback about the k sports |
Re: rear susp and brake options
as for brakes if you want to keep it cheap if you have the single piston caliper you can get the 2 piston calipers otherwise there are a bunch of big brake kits out there as well
|
Re: rear susp and brake options
im thinking to keep it cheap, are the 2 pisons just for the front, or are there rears? and what years carry the 2 pistons
|
Re: rear susp and brake options
I think they start in 92 and i'm pretty sure they are on all 4 corners but don't quote me on that
|
Re: rear susp and brake options
Backs were always single, just the fronts had two.
I'd go with the DSM big brakes, I decided to halt my big brake conversion for now and see how the stockers are once they're bled and without ABS. I have porterfield r4s pads and powerslots around, plus SS lines. |
Re: rear susp and brake options
i spose if i can get a set of 2 pistons i will in the future.
im looking for suggestions for the back, since i have the whole thing ripped appart already |
Re: rear susp and brake options
I wouldn't worry much about upgrading the rear brakes, at least don't upgrade them without doing something to the fronts too. Maybe slap a new set of decent pads on them, and make sure they're working good still.

Re: rear susp and brake options
thank you for correcting me. i couldn't remember
|
Re: rear susp and brake options
ok, well ill do the 2 pistons when i get the chance, probly keep the stock rears, with good pads and SS lines it should be good enough for me
