I'm going to need my flywheel resurfaced so who do you guys recomend and what should I expect to pay.
Not sure how much it would cost, but I had my head done at Napa in Savage. They did an excellent job. It probably wouldn't be more than about $30-40.
Drop your flywheel off to QPR and have them take it to their "shop of choice." Shouldn't be more than $50 and it's an actual high performance engine machine shop... They don't fuck around.
Its like 35 bucks at Red Rooster in Bloomington. Go there its good work and cheap.
I'll second the Napa in Savage. That is probably the only place I would go with a flywheel right now.
For a flywheel I'd take it to a Red rooster or something, as as long as they understand the specs it needs to be at then it's a fairly easy job. Some people do want to have a all out machine shop do it, but a red rooster or equivilent will be just fine.

The reason I suggested Napa in Savage is that they also work on Brent Rau's car. When i brought my head in there, with no more than a glance, they knew exactly what it was off of. Chris was very helpful and stayed in contact with me all the time. If something came up, he called to make sure I knew what was going on.

Agreed. I had the fucking yahoos at the napa in duluth fuck up my flywheel nearly a dozen times before they got it right. Thank god Archer borrowed me a mic so I could check the step myself. Because of that I will not bring my shit to a machine shop unless I KNOW that they are on top of things and know what they are doing.

There's a new shop in Crystal named Motors by Gosh. He's the previous head of the machine shop up in Ramsey. He knows his stuff.
Thanks guys. I was concerned w/the places that say they can do it but theres a difference between doing it and doing it right.
