bad ecu?
 

i think i have a bad ecu cuz it has dies twice and the check engine light comes on. it clicks from the ecu and wont start and stay running for like 20 min. then it will be fine?

Take it out, pull the cover off and take a look at it.

It's a good thing I've got a 98 gsx ecu for sale then huh?!

p.s. it looks like you've got a 91 so i don't think mine will work :(

I drove home from Rosemount to Eagan a year ago with the death click, it was horrible, turn on, boost up a hill, die, coast down, repeat lol. I took it out and had a bud fix a few capacitors for 20 bucks, good as new !

ive got a 92 non eprom ecu, the isc solonoid on the chip is blown but other than that it runs and drives just fine.

if you want it you can have it, it probably wouldnt cost much to have the one chip replaced

yep its burnt alittle. gotta get a new one. and of course its eprom. damn. can delete thread

you might be able to get it fixed depending on how bad it is
