Think My next buy will be a 3" GM MAS and a translator. Then maybe a larger turbo. ;)

Stick with the 2g mas and spend your money on something more useful then a MAFT.

Why?

Re: scheides old 2G

A 2g mas is better in my opinion, especially at your power level.

Look at GoatBlower, he has a 2g mas and is pushing like 600whp on E98 on DBs dyno.

Re: scheides old 2G

He was close to that on DBs too I'm pretty sure, but really doesn't matter.

Re: scheides old 2G

The 2G MAS does tune nicer. It does a much better job at metering correctly and consistantly.

OMG I MISS IT! I actually drove away from my wedding in that car, and we had wedding photos taken with it. Black 2Gb's are so sexy.

Put the money from the MAF-T setup towards a nice set of HKS 272's and DSMLink.

Can you pleeeeeeeease bring it to the spring dyno day? Even if you don't dyno it, I just wanna see it again! Heck, I'll let you drive my evo if you let me drive your 2G :)

264 / 272 would be nice for your setup.

Is there a link with the details on the car's setup? Or a list?

Actually theres not. I'm not sure what size injectors chris left in it, but it's
stock 6 bolt swap, W ballance shaft removed
poly motor mounts
small 16G,
I think 650cc or so injector,
SAFCII,
FP intake
HKS SSQV BOV Recirculated
APEXi Power Intake

Needs a few things, I want a DSM link for it, I need to work on the passenger side axel, & maybe ball joint... dunno. there is a small amount of play left & right. the wheel seems to toe in when breaking and toe out when accelerating. I thought it was the brakes, but when I had it up on the jack changeing th oil.. I noticed the play in the wheel when I grabed ahold of it. Grrrrr...:madashell: oh well spring fun!!

Re: scheides old 2G

DSMLink is the shit.

I'd do all maintence on it and then purchase link and go from there modding wise.

Then you can sell the SAFCII and throw that money towards Cams.

ESchwanz 03-09-2009 10:03 PM

Re: scheides old 2G

Ahh good call on the selling the SAFCII to fund the cams ;) So I guess I better start looking for a socketed 2G EPROM ECU...

scheides 03-09-2009 10:15 PM

Re: scheides old 2G

Ya, like the week I bought that car I bought a 95 EPROM and gave it to a guy on here to socket/chip for dsmlink and I never saw it again :( Otherwise that car would have it already! Those are FIC 650's, the car also has some misc piping and an ebay FMIC....I had a nice big buschur FMIC on it but that got sold with the turbo I had on it at the time; I got an offer I couldn't refuse.

It also has stop-tech slotted rotors and EBC greens (if I remember correctly?)

Actually, I just dug up the mod list, as I sold it:

97 Eclipse GSX
6-bolt motor swap w/
-arp hardware
-QPR EGR Block-off
-BS elim kit
-'90 oil filter housing w/ air-to-air oil cooler
Polyeurethane Motor Mounts
Southbend DXD Clutch
Buschur TB Elbow
Ported 2G Exhast Manifold w/ EGT tap
2.5" downpipe, w/ dual 3" resonators
Apexi N1 cat-back
Walbro 255HP fuel pump
Apexi AFC-2
PLX M-250 Wideband Setup w/ Gauge
FIC 650cc injectors
Polished 1G rail w/ custom-mounted FP gauge
Taylor 10mm Thundervolt Plugwires
RRE Crankcase breather/oil catch can
Hallman MBC
PWR Aluminum Radiator
Dual 12" FAL High-flow Fan (pull)
10" SPAL High-flow Fan (push)
Stoptech slotted rotors
EBC Red brake pads
17" OZ Racing rims w/ Bridgstone Potenza's
SLS Center-vent gauge bezel
Autometer Boost + EGT gauges in sleeper mount :)
Polished eBay Strut-tower bar
Tokico Illumina 5-way adj. struts
Tokico Progressive Springs
Ingalls Front & Rear Camber Kit

Anyways, do the maintenance, then dsmlink, sell afc for a used set of hks 272s...go the 272's, they're a good cam and not that big....used you can get them for like $400. You could also 'downgrade' the 650's: sell them for $250, and buy a set of Evo 560cc injectors for $150 (or less)....more money towards dsmlink and the car will run better on the s-afc in the meantime :)
