Cut off switch location

Does anybody know how picky Rock Falls and Cedar Falls are about cut off switch locations?

I was planning on mounting it behind my license plate on my 2g then enlarge the hole a little so its easily accessible. Kind of like this, but instead of having it mounted on the crash bar I would have it mounted to the hatch metal and have it horizontal to the ground. I would also just remove the plate at the track.

I don't' want the switch in plain view because I don't want anybody to flip a switch and make me lose my tune.

So do you guys think mounting it behind the plate and removing the plate at the track would pass tech and not have them yell at me?

run EMS..you won't loose the tune. I have my cutoff behind the plate. I just wanna modify it and turn it into a push/pull type setup.

EMS.... I have dsmlink ;) I don't think I'd ever go AEM, hell I only half understand link and AEM would be way over my head. Plus I'm a poor bastard.

Have any pictures of your setup? Ever been to the track with it?

Doesn't it have to be visible in order to be legal.

Yes it does. Mine will be more like this:

I was just wondering if anybody went to tech like this and bitched because it isn't exactly flush and kind of tucked away.

I don't think you'd need to paint the handle red swifty. You're supposed to have a sticker showing whats on and whats off, so as long as thats there I don't think they'd care what color the handle is.

I was thinking of going with the rod style and mounting it behind the trunk lock cylinder. When you get to the track you can just pop the lock cylinder out (1 clip) and thread the rod into the switch.

I will probably be doing the same setup on my Chevelle as I hate drilling extra holes in my cars.

Looks good! I don't see how they could complain about it if your plate is off.
