Not sure what to do.
I have a 1994 Honda Civic SOHC VTEC and want to get an awd vehicle. I will be looking at a 1g talon today but it is a 1992 and i really want to get airbags.
Another problem is that I would be paying 2700 which is 1200 over kbb value but the car will be having its timing belt fixed, a newer motor, and an upgraded turbo. Is this a good deal and if i buy it where can i get a 4 point harness to make up for the loss of airbags? |
Re: Not sure what to do.
Harnesses in a daily-driver with no roll cage will probably be more unsafe than regular seatbelts and no airbags. What if you get T-boned? What if you roll? If airbags are a must for you, look into getting a 2G instead.
KBB values really don't mean anything when it comes to used DSM's; they are an enthusiast car so they definitely hold their value a bit better than the average car. Any more details on the car you're buying? |
Re: Not sure what to do.
Yep, KBB don't mean squat for anything before 2001. Especially not these cars, 1G's have been above book since the late 90's.
