Remove the tranny and it's right there..

That's the easiest thing to replace if you're talking about the clutch fork. Removing/Reinstalling will be the hardest part. The fork comes off with ease. Might as well replace the Throw Out Bearing, clip, and the little fulcrum ball.

Here's a VFAQ on it if you plan on doing it yourself.

SHIFT FORK IS NOT A CLUTCH FORK!

The shift fork requires tear down of the tranny, but if I remember correctly replacing the forks isn't a big deal. Someone with patience, tools, and a good mechanical aptitude could do it in less than 2 hours with the tranny out I think.

As mentioned above it isn't terribly difficult. It requires a partial tear down of the transmission, some large sockets, a small punch, a torque wrench for re-assembly, some rtv, and basic hand tools. It can typically be swapped in 2 hours or less. How do you know it is broken and which fork is it? The 1-2 or the 3-4? There are a few tricks to the trade and vfaq has a good basic write up on how to do it.

The best place to buy New transmission parts would be the dealership, or you can contact shpetrans.com teamrip.com or jackstransmissions.com

As I understand it, there is more then one shift fork, so your best guess is to tear it apart, send us a picture of the broken part, and one of us will be able to give you a used replacemet...

You need to ask yourself why the fork broke, they just dont "go out" there is a reason for the failure, you can chose to replace the affected part and forget about the cause. Or you can have it taken care of right.

Take your tax money and pay for a complete rebuild, believe me these cars are so much more fun if your transmission is working properly.

Define "slips out". It sounds like it could be a syncro issue instead, that is a bit more involved for install.
