A real mans DSM :D, Introducing, the Starion
Here it is boys and Emily, my new project. It is a 1986 Mitsubishi Starion. I picked it up for $2500. It has ZERO rust. I couldnt beleive it. Only 95k miles, good tires, and a mint interior. I think this was the best deal of my life. The engine runs solid besides being rich, but thats what happens when you are missing half your vac lines. Ill now leave you to a few pictures.

Its been sitting indoors for 3 years. So thats why all the dust. It also even comes complete with a Momo shift knob and pedals!! 2 Fast 2 Furious BITCHES!!! http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/753...0137uh9.th.jpg If you look closely you can see that this has been set up for some sort of performance. It has been set up for AIC//Staged injectors, has an after market hard UICP, BOV, and a 14g turbo. And an aftermarket fuel pump I guess. No idea on what the boost is set at. It also came with these other goodies. http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/3443/photo0140jo3.th.jpg That is a professionally built motor by top end performance out of california. Dont know exactly what was done to the motor yet, but I know the performance stuff listed above is part of their many performance offerings. I also have a Haltech FI Controller for the staged injectors. The guy disconnected it tho so I have to figure out how to wire it all back up. http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/6...0145wm3.th.jpg http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/3250/photo0168yh4.th.jpg And lastly it came with all this, and more parts, not pictured are 3 radiator fans, a good StarQuest FMIC, a distributor, a new in the box oil pump, and some other stuff. Pictured here are 2 12a/b?? turbos, no shaft play, exauhst manifold, ac condensor, HKS Turbo timer no longer hooked up, MSD ignition coil, some guages, some various electrical devices, and my space helmet for traveling to the plant zorg on those lonely nights. Oh and a complete intake manifold with all sensors. Phew... that was alot, Im sure there is more, but christ I just cant think of it anymore. I do need to get some stuff squared away on it before I bring it out to anywhere, like Vac lines and the such. So if anyone wants to offer some help and a garage and tools, Id be gratefull. But in the mean time, Enjoy. Oh and mods, if this was supposed to go in projects or something then move it. I just figure its not a project... yet :D |

Re: A real mans DSM :D, Introducing, the Starion
OMG.
That is nice. DO NOT sell those mudflaps. Keep the underside clean, and that secondary injector stuff is interesting, but completely unnecessary. Since it's an 86, it has two equal sized injectors. You can upgrade by getting an 87-up computer and injectors. You may need a harness from an 87-up car as well, but those are all over. Has the car been painted? Odd color, plus the engine bay looks black, and the wing peeling seems to happen only on resprayed cars (at least to me, but it happens to stock paint sometimes I guess). Give me your VIN and I can sick the SQ war dogs on it. The OVCP is a TEP piece. Don't buy anything else from them, unless you like getting ripped off. Don't buy anything from KDM if you can help it. FIC sells brand new injectors that bolt in, if you have strange stumbling, those are usually at fault. That TEP motor might be a stock rebuild. You should check. And, lets see.. I need you to check if the driver side window switch you got there is an auto down switch. If it is, I'm gonna need that. I'm also going to help you hook up one of those extra coils to a spark plug in the exhaust tip, so you can have a fireball so big that it rolls up over the wing when you shift at highway speeds. We'll get a switch so you can turn it off, but it's totally worth it to have it. I've seen it in action at a standstill, the car I saw had a big tip, maybe 4 or 5 inches, and there was a ball of fire inside the tip just hanging out. Baller. |
Re: A real mans DSM :D, Introducing, the Starion
Oh yeah, what are you doing tomorrow or the next day? Me and another SQ dude want to see this thing in person. Let me know.
|
Re: A real mans DSM :D, Introducing, the Starion
And if that extra radiator was included, I'm going to need that. Mine leaks.
|
Re: A real mans DSM :D, Introducing, the Starion
Did you buy it to win the DSM Cookout?
|
Re: A real mans DSM :D, Introducing, the Starion
Rofl, wow.... I dont even know where to begin with all this lol. All that from just the pictures. I love it.
Let me try to answer these in order. 1: I had no plans on selling the mudflaps, Im keeping everything on the car thats on the car. And since the secondary injectors are there I might try to utilize them. I have all the electronics for it and all, including a Fuel Cut Defencer. So why not use em? 2: Dont know about a repaint, here is the VIN, have the SQ guys check it out for me and hit me back VIN: JA3BC54N4GZ034725 3: The pipe came with the car, so it wasnt my money wasted :D but I dont have any plans on buying anything yet, when I do, Ill use you as my SEARS catalog :P 4: When I have a garage again I plan on take the VC off to see if the TEP camshaft is in there, or try to look for other signs of adding on to the motor, either way, its only got 5k miles on it when it was pulled, and if it is a rebuild it should have the hyperrhutic (sp) pistons. 4a: I dont remember, its locked away in a storage locker for now. When I go there again Ill check if its an auto for you. If it is, Ill want money, for it because you are pulling from my spare parts bin. 5: All I can say is 2 Fast, 2 Furious!!! 6: Probably trying to hook the vacuum lines back up. If you wanna come over to my ghetto ass apartment and look at the car then PM me and Ill get you my number 7:Radiator will cost you, and I cant garuntee its any good, it was just thrown in for the price PHEW, damn fatty, make me type all that lol. Glad to see you are excited tho haha. |

For being teal, it's pretty sweet.

Re: A real mans DSM :D, Introducing, the Starion
Wow, I was retarded to ask for the vin, I should have said paint code, which is on the firewall plate near the VIN. Sorry, but don't worry about it. If I do happen to come and see it, I can just get it then.

Re: A real mans DSM :D, Introducing, the Starion
Gee, thanks scheides, glad you like it lol. I suppose it should of been black to suit your taste in color.
Ill hunt it down tomorrow, ill be under the hood most likely putting vacuum lines back on:jackoff: |
