Extra IDE 2.5" HD to borrow/rewrite over?

Does ANYONE have a 2.5" IDE laptop Hard drive they'd let me re-write over/borrow to try and eliminate as a factor of my laptop taking a shit? I just need to see if my HD is bad or if my motherboard is flakey or something... My installs of XP of Vista haven't lasted more than a day w/o getting a BSOD.

Lemme know so I don't have to go blow $90 on a HD if mine's not bad... Thanks!

Setup an oil filter test to see which one makes more power, your laptop covered in oil or that hard drive covered in oil.

Seriously though, just go buy one at microcenter or best buy and return it if it doesn't work out!

Nope. I only run FRAM oil filters no matter what any tests show, I am pretty sure AMS uses them so they must be good.

If you can't find anything I have a 40gb upstairs that I keep backups on. I can toss the image on the 160gb until you get it back to me.

actually, got one from Best Buy cause they do allow returns. I just ended up keeping it and putting it in an external case for use as an external now anyways. Thanks guys.
