Hughes, Mark, Kevin....present for you!
 

I got a present for anyone that has hit their head (or even cut their head) on the awning over my back door. A few months back I tore down the nasty old thing and its razor spikes that have torn through many a hat and drawn blood on too many occasions. Today I finally had time (and daylight) to put up the new one!

These things are not cheap, but having a little bit of shelter by the back door is super nice when it rains, snows, or is super sunny for locking/unlocking the door or letting the dogs out. :)

Yea that summer pic is from years ago, when we bought the house. They're trimmed now ;)

Its fuking high too! Anna thinks it's too high almost...I had my neighbor Paul test it yesterday, I opened the door and yelled, 'Paul! Beer!' and he came running through. He's 6'3" and his head cleared it by at least 8" while jaunting up the sidewalk.
