That is crazy. I hope he likes it a lot because after he finishes spending 100,000 dollars worth in man hours, he will need another $100,000 for the fuel, haha.

I am sure he is monumentally disappointed, having driven those things for real, I can say that a childhood icon of awesomeness is actually a piece of junk.

Yes, his custom build quality is probably far and beyond what the military gets, but comon, there is so little interior room.

I was always pretty impressed with them. They may have rattled and what not, but no matter how bad we beat the crap out of them they hardly ever broke. I remember only one time we had one break, and it was a leak in a fuel line after we drove it over a decent sized jump.

Hummers are durable and can go over some amazing inclines and other obsticals. The ground clearance between the difs and axles is amazing. This one... not so much. It sure does look nice and will probably do OK off-road but I doubt it will ever get dirty.

For the amount he's spending on this solid axle ford chassis clone, he might as well've gotten a real H1 and kept the rusted ford to beat the hell out of in in the mud.

Looks like some quality work though.

If I get an RV, it's going to be one of these, I *hate* the KOA 'lifestyle'.
