heres my setup for the new 240:
turbo: something near a 50 trim maybe a 46 manifold: i gotta ask mike if he can weld and port this for me but its just a manifold thats in pieces really. http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/ wastegate: im thinking tial or delta with a .5 pound spring safc: needed for fuel fuel pump: going with the 255 unless i can find a 190 injectors: 440cc DSM injectors will work im pretty sure?? misc. piping, filter, boost gauge and BOV(1g or 2g anyone have one let me know please) now your turn, please tell me why i shouldnt get this big of a turbo only running 7 PSI and mike just for you, please tell me how much it would be to weld the manifold thanks colin :rally: |

The .46 trim should be fine @ 7psi, a little low, but fine. Probably be just fine with a big 16g or 18g also.

E*Thug i was completly serious on what i said... I see more sr20det engine swaped 240sx's than i do stock/semi MODed ones... It seems to be more coommon than a civic with a B16......
If you tossed new internals to lower comprsion and what not the 2.4L would own the sr20.... Most the time people get the sr20 done is cause the ka24 (the 2.4L not sure of name) has to many miles on it and they don't wanna rebuild it.. (only came in the S13's). Just think you could toss a bigger turbo on it and make more power right away compared to a 2 liter.... If you really want to mix things up toss a rb26dett in there :P with a AWD conversion. |
Running only 7 psi, why not get a used T-25 for about 100 bucks and save some money? Not to mention then you would be running a turbo thats actually efficient at 7 psi.

7psi on one turbo doesn't equal 7psi on another. He can make more power on a larger turbo at a low boost level to keep the detonation down. The 2.4 is a bit too big for a T25 that can't keep up with a 2.0 past 5500RPMs.
Cudvig, DSM injectors are 450cc. There is a good chance that they won't work either without some modding. You might need a resistor box and a lot of Nissans use side feed injectors instead of the top feed style of the DSMs, but I don't know what they did on the KA24. |
I realize that the turbos of course are not the same, but I also don't see a huge power increase coming from a larger turbo at that low of a boost level...especially for the $1000 price difference.
