WTB: 1g GST/Tsi FWD

My dad is looking for a daily driver as his commute just tripled. He is looking for a CLEAN 1g FWD turbo. 5 speed and shifts good. Doesn't need anything for mods, but some would be ok. I haven't been able to find too much, the nice ones seemed to be priced pretty high.

Hey Jet, Kristinas dad has a 92 TSi FWD in his lot at his shop, a customer got a bunch of work done to it but never paid or picked it up, he has the title in hand, it has a lot of new parts and runs good as well. I can get a list of the new parts, it doesn't have any rust but has the normal paint fade, its black. I am sure he would sell it somewhere in the 1500 dollar range but I would have to ask.

That sounds good Craig, get me some details on that one. The noise from the probe is inside the engine Joe, hard to believe with 84k miles on it.

He started driving truck again and has an 80 mile commute each day now, he wants the better gas mileage.

I will find out this weekend; I have to go there and pull the batteries on my motorhome anyway. I can try and get some pics of it too if you want.

It wouldn't be my first choice. If the car was for me I wouldn't mind it, but he wants one in nice shape and running good.

Re: WTB: 1g GST/Tsi FWD

Im am down at the shop right now; the car has the following new parts:

New brakes front and rear (rotors and pads)
Timing belt, water pump, ect.
New piston rings (stock compression) and all the seals and stuff that goes with it.
New clutch, pressure plate, ect.
Brand new snow tires all the way around

The car runs great when its above 30 degrees, but just today it wouldn't start when it was below zero. I would think that is just a coolant temp senson or something like that, nothing serious. The rear defrost would need to be wired back up again because it was shorted out and since it wasn't driven in the winter it was just unhooked.

He said he would take 1500 for it right now; with all the new parts it has I think its definetly worth it; sure it might need a few minor things but the price reflects that. The new motor rebuild only has a few thousand miles on it as well as all the other new parts.

Let me know Jet, give me a call actually because I won't be checking the computer much this weekend. There are a few other people that want this thing to for the same reason as your dad so if you want it let me know asap.

Oh yeah I think it has some home made cat back exhaust and a boost gauge/pod inside.

Do you still want that car Jet? Just replaced the coolant temp sensor and starts great now. And damn that thing goes better than my Tahoe through the snow. Let me know if you want it still, if not this other guy wants it right away.
