Consider a 2G mas with a stock 2G snorkel, with the mod I suggested (and an AFC or 550cc injectors) you might actually see a HP gain.

I dont think there is even a aftermarket intake pipe for 1G's worst way to spend money.

Spend your money on stuff that makes your car go faster.

Yea because that is the only purpose for having a car (rolls eyes). I be my viper gets more looks than your dsm and it is stock.

Back on topic, I believe James has couple intake pipes but you will have to pm him (slowbubblecar). I think he has a couple 3" pipes and maybe a pipe for a 2g MAS. Not sure. I know he has several 2g MAS and plugs if you are interested but you would want an SAFC or something to tune your vehicle as it won't run all that well with the 2g MAS.

I will look around but I think I gave him all my parts.

Plenty of nice intakes available for the 1G's and they do a lot in terms of performance and they are one of the first mods I recommend since they are relatively cheap and quite effective. Calling a stock 2G intake pipe an upgrade is just plain silly.

i had alot of luck with the 2g mas and injector up grade, i had an hp gain for sure! if youre willing to spend around $200 "give or take" i say go that direction.

+1 for the FP pipe.

But if you're on a budget, you could just buy a 45* mandrel bend, and a stock 2G snorkel and MAS, and make something like this.
