help with new mod

just wanted some opinions on what i should do next to my car, i have $400 to spend, this is what i have so far, 1991 talon tsi awd, 255 lph fuel, 550cc injectors, 2.5" intake, 2.5" turbo-back exhaust, hallman mbc, apexi safc, blitz turbo timer, 2g exhaust manifold, and everything else is stock

Re: help with new mod

I'd get a boost gauge, then save up for dsmlink and a wideband, and make some money back by selling the safc.

Re: help with new mod

already have boost gauge, and running 15-17 lb of boost

2G MAS then save a little more and Evo3 16g (MHI). Then, HKS 272's.

In that case, then I'd personally save for DSMLink.

You may not think you need to upgrade to dsmlink like Halon is saying. But trust him, he is VERY right. I started off how you are and now that I ran out of tuning options I wish I just would have got dsmlink in the first place.

Sell the turbo timer and put it all towards an EVO3 16g.

I would go to Modern Automotive Performance and grab that AEM wideband on sale right now for just over $200 that they have.

Someone had an E316g on here for like $450. I would start looking at a FMIC soon too.

Re: help with new mod

Hack your 1G MAS for free and get a used 16G and a new (or used) o2 housing (ported 2G, ported EvoIII, or tubular).

Hmm, or $400 could probably get you a used set of aftermarket shocks and lowering springs.

I'd go dsmlink, I really wish I would have done that first. Or a set of ARP headstuds as soon as you run more boost.

Dsmlink, or a wideband, or used turbo?
