Thread on the turbo compressor housing came off!

How can I get this fixed? I took apart my turbo(Borg Warner S200) and the compressor housing threads just came out with the bolt.

I'll get pictures later. The other threads stayed in while just 1 thread came out. I don't know how this happened???

Ahh, I see, well, just find out the thread pitch and size for the bolts and get a tap for it, run it through and see if you can fix it that way, if not, you'll have to go one size bigger, drill and tap it, then use the bigger bolt for that one.

The bolts are 13mm. Where can I get it drilled and retap?

you can do it yourself if you want to, otherwise any machine shop should be able to do it up for ya.

i would look into helicoils if i were you, then you can keep the same bolts and such.

Yeah, if you want to do it yourself, you can go to ace hardware, take the bolt with you and find a nut that screws all the way on, since they have all the sizes and pitches labeled on those drawers, you will know what size of a tap to get, you can even bring the housing with you in the store to see if it's even feasible to tap the existing hole. If the threads are simply gone, as it looks like they are, you'll have to drill a larger hole.

But, like 311evo said, in that case, you have helicoils which can be bought as a kit from napa or probably any other auto parts store. Just remember the size and pitch from the hardware store, so you get the right helicoil kit.
