I am now in the market for new shocks. I was looking at the AGX for 2G because I heard that KYB fixed the problem with the 2G shocks. Is this true? If it is true, does anyone have experience with the revised shocks on a 2G AWD?
Also, are there any spring sets out there that lower around 1.3" other than the Prokits? Thanks |
Progress springs lower about 1.5" and ride/handle very nicely on the 2G's. You will be fine with the AGX's more than likely. If you have about an extra $100-150 laying around the Tokicos would be good too.
Aren't the Eibach Sportlines a 1.7" drop?
Prokits are 1.3" drop and Sportlines are about 1.8" according to Eibach.
Yeah the Tokicos are being concidered also but I can get a really good deal on the AGX's. I just want to make sure that if I do get the AGX's, there will be no problems and it will ride nice.
You will probably be just fine. Have you decided which springs yet?
I am leaning towards the Prokits because I dont want a very low drop. Although, if there are other springs out ther that only lower 1.3", I may have to concider them because I have heard that the spring rates on the Prokits are only stiffer than stock up front and the same as stock in back. I dont know how reliable this information is but if there isnt anything else out there (including coilovers), then Prokits it is.

Prokits are a very good spring. Your car will handle quite nicely with them. To find out the spring rates (they are progressive keep in mind) you can always just call Eibach, they are open with their specs.
Yeah I was pretty sure the guy posting wasnt really taking into account that the springs were progressive. Unless anyone else has reason to not go with this setup, then thats what im doing. Thanks

See if Jana (dsmchick) still has her suspension for sale.
She sold it already.
