question about installing turbo timer?

i got a 93 GSX and wanting to put in my turbo timer but got a little problem and couldn't figure out why. i install it like the manual say to install it, i put the black wire for ground, gray wire for the ebrake and i use an evo 8 harness that i got from a friend for the plug and play and the timer wouldn't turn on. i was wondering if the evo 8 harness is the problem? if any body out there can help me out that would be great.

Here's my advice. Sell the turbotimer on ebay, put the money towards more fun stuff that will actually do something on your car :)

Maybe you didn't put the ground wire in correctly or in the wrong spot?
I know when i did mine, if was a bit loose, it wouldn't turn on.

I've never heard of an evo harness being used so that could also be the problem.

a TT is somewhat useless, unless you drive your car hard all the time.

The $100 bucks or so that you spent could be saved and spent elsewhere.

I believe the Evo shares a harness with the 2G, not 1G's. Buy the proper harness for $10-15 and you'll be set.
