New Job and New Pad

I doubt anyone cares, but I'm pretty damn happy. I got a second job working at Gilmore Ave. Carwash and Quick Lube here in town. I'll be working on the vehicles doing the inspections and fluid flushes. I start out at what I've been making at Target for a year and a half now.

I'm pretty excited. Add to it that me and my g/f are just about ready to start moving into our first apartment together. Got approved for a single bedroom. Really nice place too, elevators on site, pool, basketball court, tennis courts, and garages (:signs109:). I'll get some pics of the fun moving process when we actually start.

We'll know for sure later today if we got it held for us. I'm excited as hell though. :D I'll be able to actually get things done on the Laser this winter too with my new-found money and my own garage. If I were to stay at my parents again this winter, my mom would get the garage.

Thanks man. So far it's working out. I also start school this January at the Tech College. I'll be going for network administrating.

That's the plan anyways...

Holly crap I used to work at that place years ago. I am still holding on to my dream of winning the lottery and buying the place just so I can go through it with a dozer.

If Scott is still the owner and running it tell him, he is still the biggest pric I have ever worked for.:rude:

Lol, I do believe he is still the owner, along with his wife. He seems nice so far, but we'll see 3 months from now.

I'll get some pictures of the apartment when we go to drop off the security deposit.

The plan is we're moving in on the 15th of sept. If you're willing to drive to Winona, I'll have to talk to the woman and see if we can throw a little party to christen the place. We also have some fun spirited backroads around this area. ;)

I had my first day of training today. It was alright, kind of got a feel for the place. I work again Tues. so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully I'll get some better training.

Dont let him fuck you out of overtime. It happened to 2 of my friends and quite a few others that work there. He pays you cash and its just your hourly wage. No time and a half or anything like that. Basically screwing ya out of money. Time and a half would still pay more when claimed on taxes than regular hourly wage straight cash.

Re: New Job and New Pad

Me and my woman are finally moved in now. Got all our shit in over the course of like 3 days. Just got internet yesterday too, so that is why I have been missing. (as if anyone noticed) So far though I'm loving the new setup. The walls are nice and thick, I barely hear anyone above or below us ever. The only bummer is that they don't have power going out to the garages. So no lights, no power tools, nothing. I'll have to rig up some lights to a car battery or something.

I'll try to take pics when I can. We got pics of it before we got our shit in, but I doubt it would be that interesting. I've been working a lot of hours too, which feels good. Gives me something to do.
