TPMS reset on a mitsu?
Anyone know how to do the reset on the TPMS on the 2008+ mitsu?
I replaced my wheels and tires with aftermarket with installed tpms sensors and the tpms light is still on so a drive cycle doesn't really reset it. I think it need to be reset/recalibrated with the new sensors. Anyone have any idea? Thanks. |
Re: TPMS reset on a mitsu?
They have a tool for them that uses a magnet. Not very many use drive cycles. And the last mitsu I did was kind of a pain in the ass to reset.

Re: TPMS reset on a mitsu?
i know we can do it at Sam's Club. Though, the tools they give us to reset or recalibrate the TPMS are awkard to use because some times it can give out false readings. Have you looked at your car manual? If not, ALOT or most vehicles i've done at my work, is either:
1. on the keyless entry remote, hold the unlock and lock at the same time for a couple seconds than the car should honk. 2. you can reset it holding down the ODO meter button on the TPMS section.....but i am not sure if Mitsu did that. hope that kinda solves it. What is your tire and rim size? |

On GM's, you put it in calibration mode, than walk around to each wheel with a magenet until it beeps.

I'll have to check the manual. :-) I've heard it's not listed on there though. Well, maybe they can reset it when I bring it in for the free oil change. |

mitsu's are different..have the dealer reset it.

Like suggested, check the owner's manual.
And Mitsubishi will most likely charge you to reset the TPMS. TPMS's are annoying to deal with |
