New Shoes for da pimp shizzle

1 Attachment(s)
Just placed an order for 4 new tires.
I really liked the BFG Gforce KDW T/A on my GST so i decided it was time to put 4 of them on the GSX. Grip is unbelievable with these tires. I love em. They should be here on friday from tirerack. (only $128 per tire)

Sweet, thats a pretty good tire. If I am not mistaken though, you posted a picture of the KDW2's. Which did you order?

Just curious, but did you look into a higher performance tire at all like the Falken Azenis RT615 or Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1?

Those are a low-end budget performance tire with no stellar characteristics. Sorry :)

I looked at the Falken and dunlops but have never been impressed with dunlops performance line of tires.
I went with what i have expirenced. I loved these tires on my GST, they not only perform better then any tire ive ran but they look amazing. Ive ran, Toyos, Nittos, Dunlops, Yokohamas, and BFGs and the BFGs were the best tire ive ran in cornering, drag and every day driving.

The Dunlop Direzza Z1 (200 treadwear rating) is being chosen over the other 140 treadwear rating tires at autocrosses for a reason. :)

the Traction T/A's
I had were so terrible I dont think I will ever buy another BFG tire ever.

Re: New Shoes for da pimp shizzle

BFG makes a pretty good performance tire but they have a lot of quality control issues so its pretty common for a tire not to balance correctly or always leak some air.

Don't talk about what you don't know about.

The Dunlop is on the level of the Advan Neova, but a fraction of the price. The Advan has probably the best dry grip of any street tire.

I have the KDW2's, I had the KDW"1"s on my last car. I thought for sure they dont even make the KDW"1"s anymore?

The KDW2s are a great compromise for dry and wet grip, and I'm very happy with mine.

I think if tirerack would have carried the Falkens i maybe would have tried the ones matt posted. but Im happy with my decision as Expirence is always better then opinions.

Not the DZ101. The Direzza Sport Z1 is the good one, the DZ101 is a more "normal" tire.

PS. My stealth is sporting a set of the Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs. I like them so far, haven't had any other performance tires, so I can't compare them to anything.

My Evo came with Kumho Ecsta MXs, and the Dunlop Z1s blow them out of the water.

HAHA you owned yourself. Do not tell me I don't know what I am talking about when it comes to tires, especially when you obviously don't have a clue and get two VERY different tires confused.

Yeah, I did. I was talking about the Dirrezza Sport Z1 or whatever, I was gonna get them but they were discontinued for a month or so until the new model came out, according to the tirerack guys on the SCCA forums.
