another e85 question
i did some searching but didnt realy find the answer i was looking for. but would running 50/50 e85 and pump 92 hurt my motor in anyway? the car is still on stock fuel system with rewired pump, 14b, fmic,3" exhaust. just the basics for right now. i ran one tank of 50/50 and i noticed it ran alot better under boost so i want to keep running this but just want to make sure.

Re: another e85 question
Don't do it unless you get tuned for it. End of story!

Re: another e85 question
^word, its tough because you will have to maintain a close mixture to what the tune is, that and the changing blends every month and the different octane because of how long it may of sat. Good luck if you go this way there are a few people that do it.

Re: another e85 question
I don't get why people would want to run a blend of e85 and regular fuel. I think it would be too much trouble trying to maintain a consistant blend.

Re: another e85 question
ok so what would be the best way to set up for e85? i dont want to run crazy amounts of boost 20psi max for right now.
|
Re: another e85 question
depends on turbo size and injector size. 880s were good for a 16G at 27psi.

Re: another e85 question
well i have a 50 trim just waiting to go on. and im going to run my twin 255 intank setup. what injectors would be good?? and what size fuel lines would i need from tank to filter? and where could i get the line?
|
Re: another e85 question
Tank to filter, stock lines should be good enough. If you're running Link, 1600's would be a good choice. That way you don't have to upgrade later on.

Re: another e85 question
What's your setup other than the 50 trim. Having the right combination of parts is the first thing you shoud think about, then e85.
