What are your pet-peeves?
The first one I'll list is when people say "getting a bite to eat." For some reason that really annoys me! There is this one girl at work who always says it and it makes me want to punch her. I also hate when people refer to their pets as their children, not like Scheides and Anna do with Turbo and Jill, but super over-the-top people who you'd have no clue they are actually speaking about an animal.

Re: What are your pet-peeves?
I hate when people complain
|
Re: What are your pet-peeves?
Internet grammar. "your" "you're" and lets not forget "......"
|
Re: What are your pet-peeves?
People running their teeth across silverware or chewing with their mouth open.

people who use fingernail clippers in public.
*click* *click* *click* AHHH!!! |
Re: What are your pet-peeves?
People who can't grasp the most simple of concepts, like when someone asks you "How do you do this?" or "How does this work?" and you look at them thinking "Are you fucking serious?"
|
Re: What are your pet-peeves?
I absolutely hate when people try to act like something they are not. Honestly, if you are genuinely stupid I'll like you more than if you try to act smart and fail. Just accept yourself for who you are, instead of who you're not.
I also hate when I get ripped off. It could be like 2 bucks or something and it'll just eat away at me all day. p.s. "funner" isn't a word. It's "more fun." |
Re: What are your pet-peeves?
Large people eating with their mouths open while breathing hard. Repulsive, agh!!
People on eBay who start an auction at $0.01 but have a reserve set high, if you're going to put a reserve, START THE AUCTION 10%-50% UNDER YOUR RESERVE! (It's mainly people from the mid-west too!) People who clearly act dumb so that they do not have to participate in something. |
Re: What are your pet-peeves?
People that think they know what they are talking about but really have NO CLUE. Mainly car related.
|
Re: What are your pet-peeves?
People who stop at green lights and giving step by step instructions over the phone to idiots.
|

Re: What are your pet-peeves?
People who act like they're better then others. Those who'd rather complain about or put-down someone rather then to help.

Re: What are your pet-peeves?
People who live super negative and are downers about everything.
Emo's Cocky people, very cocky people. And for some reason when people hang on to my "oh shit" handle, it makes me want an ejecto-seato. unless im driving crazy so they have a reason to hang on. Or when people yell "faggot" or "F* you!" out of my window, they will never step foot in my car again. When people rev at you in rush hour, WTF do you want me to do about it? have a 60-foot who can "launch into the back end of a car the fastest" race? list goes on, but ill stop :D |
Re: What are your pet-peeves?
When people say they DD their car, but really they do not. They then justify it by saying that it has 600whp, when again, it does not.
As an extension of this, when people cross 'the line' and take their nice 250-350whp car that they drive all the time and have a blast with and in fact identify with/from, and then cut it up into 'a monster'....often to never see the light of day again. See the light. Put it back to the way it was when you had fun with it! Also, when I reference a movie via quote or something, and no one gets it :( |

Re: What are your pet-peeves?
Ooh, also, 4-way stops. The rules are simple, but no one knows them, like they've never been at one before. Result: hand waiving, middle finger, or two hands up in the air in exasperation. If you don't know how to do this, you don't know how to drive. They should ticket people for improper stop sign etiquette. It's probably worse than speeding or doing drugs!
|
Re: What are your pet-peeves?
1. I'm with scheides, the stop sign thing is rediculous.
2. Driving behind grandma going 10-15 under the speed limit when I am crunched for time. 3. When i'm with friends and we decide to do something, but the driver just sits there making sure for about 10 minutes, I get very annoyed. 4. Matt D.'s was a perfect example, I mean really, you cant figure out how to do that, and off of that is when I'm helping someone with something on the computer and they dont know how to do ANYTHING on a computer. Seriously, some of thees people are 20 and stare at a computer like :s ITS NOT THAT HARD! now I'm annoyed just thinking about all this. 5. Never ending complainers and whiners. Ok, everyone has their times but when all you do is look at the negative side of things and then bitch and moan I want to smack you silly, shit happens get over it. That was probally annoying for some. Oh and for anyone that my ....... bother you, sorry...... like that. It a bad habit but its better than the poor grammer and internet slang. I feel its the best way to put a nice delay into a sentance, but if there is something better please let me know. There are many, many more but thats a good start! |
Re: What are your pet-peeves?
An extension of mine is when people are completely confused about how to do something but the instructions on how to do whatever they need to do are right in front of them. Learn to fucking read!
Another is people that constantly do something in the office over and over such as cough, clear their throat, sniff their nose, etc. Sneezing I can handle, but the rest are really fucking annoying. Go to the doctor and take care of that shit because you do it every day, it's not normal, and quit fucking annoying me with it. |
