So I bought my 03 evo 8 last november and I havnt been able to do to much to it, but I thought I would share what I have done so far.

The day I bought my car

First mod that I did was tint, the car came with an Apexi GT spec exhaust, and Apexi intake.

I decided to go wingless! This is what I found when I took offf the spoiler!!

Alot of that is rust stain, but the rust spot is about the size of a quarter!

I also decided to rattle can my stockers!! I will be powder coating them soon!!

Im gonna buy either a CF trunk or just a regular lancer es/ls trunklid

That is kind of what I figured. Talk to Hughes aka Kracka about whether the CF trunk lid would be worth it or not.

I know he mentioned before that most CF hoods for the Evo are actualy HEAVIER than the stock hoods.

I'd say just sell the wing and trunk and buy your self a regular lancer trunklid.

Yup the spoiler is probably gonna be gone tomorrow, some guy offered me 250 for it. If I do get the CF trunk, it will be for looks, I dont really care about the weight!! I am also planning on getting a CF hood too!!

I don't know what the going rate on those wings used are, but I guess they are like $1,500 new so I would try and get a little more.

Or see if 311evo or Rose wants to buy it, they could repaint it fairly cheap. If you ask me 250 just sounds like a super good deal.

Looks good!

I'm not sure what the trunks weigh, but they aren't very heavy (a carbon fiber one would look cool though).

I usually don't like silver, but with the black wheels and the wingless look, it really puts off a mean stance to the car! Nice job! Get the Lancer emblem on the truck too :P

well if you want to powder coat your wheels, my buddy will be able to do that in about 2-3 weeks, he's setting up a bigger oven for wheels and other bigger parts!!!

I have noticed that alot of people are interested in changing the color of their wheels!! Maybe I could talk to my buddy and see what he would charge if it was a group thing. He could probably give everyone a good deal!!

Looking good! fuel pump, MBC, and a tune and you will be kickin some good power!

My car was tuned before I got it, It needs to be retuned again, I dont even know if I have a fuel pump, I have to check that out, I do have a mbc tho. Once the clutch goes in, I will get it retuned!! I LOVE MY BLACK WHEELS!!! LOL

Black wheels ftw!... I will be painting my winter wheels black this summer..... you should see about the group buy powder coat idea!

Call Mitsu about the rust spot. Most cars 2002 model year or newer have a 100k corrosion warranty.

Sorry, I'm with Scheides on the wheels. Black wheels do nothing for me.
