Re: quick Q
Haha, we all have a spare 2g MAP/MDP sensor. Not necessary though if you don't have EGR, correct? I unplugged mine.
I also have that sensor in my trunk with the rest of the parts I'm giving you tomorrow... haha. |
Re: quick Q
The MAP sensor doesnt have anything to do with the EGR. The basic purpose for the MAP sensor is if your MAS fails, the ECU will rely on the MAP to get you to your destination. Similar to a "safe mode". If I remember correctly.
Although when running a 6 bolt in a 2g (1g intake mani or SMIM) there is no spot to put the MAP sensor unless you weld a bung in or adapt it somehow. So you can leave it off without any side effects and without getting a check engine light. |
Re: quick Q
i had to get a 2g intake mani non of the sensors for the throttle body were working "tps" and that kinda stuff, but i got it all for $140 so i think i should be in the clear now, and when it finally clears up out side i can finish wiring the darn thing up and see if it will run lol. "mom wont let this DSM in her garage lol"
