What to do first on my 4G?

Ok, my 4G GT Auto (08) is still completely stock.

As usual, there are budget limits on what I can do this year. $1500 is my limit at this time.

What would you do?

Coilovers ($895) - seems like a deal
Intake (???)
Exhaust (???)
front strut tower bar
rear lower bar

Thanks for any input.

lol I read the title and first thing that came to mind was "sell it." But naw, what you should do is map out what you'd like to use your car for. Idk much about the 4gs so I can't help ya out too much. Just figure out what you want your car for in the long run and it'll save you tons of time and money.

If I were you I'd invest in a very nice solid coilover suspension, anti-roll bars, and chassis bracing. Then get a nice set of warm weather wheels. :)

Intake and exhaust.

I'd say intake and exhaust, then coilovers.

^^ Agree, unless you really don't like the suspension.

Slam it. buy some 20" time attack style wheels. big brake kit. In that order.

Honestly, in an Auto 4g, i'd leave it as a cruiser, a business car, a ladies pick up mobile.

Why? Its an auto. Maybe i'd put some really nice rims on it, but wouldn't do much go fast parts on it yet. considering its a new car, your coilovers should be fine. Intake / Exhaust ~ the performance gain on those two isn't what'd make me giggle when you drive, its not in my car either. Strut bars and what not aren't really visible, and like said, its a new car, wouldn't really need em.

But if you must ~ Intake / Exhaust first....

Tim's auto 4G is making really good power for the limited mods it has.

Wow, you guys are hard on the guy about the 4G. They are nice cars and Tim's seems pretty fun.

It's all on your driving style and what would make the car fun for you to drive the way you like to. Intake, exhaust, suspension would be good places for any car to start besides appearance items.

i would say intake and exhuast first. than coilovers+rims. the 4g are pretty nice compared to 15 year old cars. :)

Re: What to do first on my 4G?

No worries. I love driving the car. I actually like the weight when you're driving in higher speeds - seems to crouch down better.

:-)

Why an auto? (commute about 100 miles per day and have to text and phone sometimes ;-) ) Did I kick myself for not getting the 6-speed, yeah, a few times. :-)

I may just do the intake, exhaust, and coilovers (wheels when I find one I like) as my first target.

Thanks all.

Patrick

Sounds like a good plan of attack. I don't see what makes an auto car completely unworthy of modding, as some of you are implying. Some people like the convenience of not having to shift gears.
