Dealing with cancer (need your hearts and prayers)

Hey guys, it has been a rought year to say the least. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/images/smilies/hurl.gif
My grandpa died about 10 months ago to this time, and now last week we found out that my grandma has lung cancer. Well now today we found out to that they did some scanning ( not sure what they call it ) and the found it in here brain, and didnt even bother too go any farther as they think it may be wide spread. I guess I am just asking for your thoughts and prayers, and has anybody ever dealt with this before. I dont know what to think or expect. we will find out more tomorrow, but I ask for your hearts and prayers

THANK YOUhttp://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/imag...lies/frown.gifhttp://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/imag...lies/frown.gifhttp://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/imag...lies/frown.gif

Its a sad thing ive lost some to cancer, and am in contact with some still fighting. Its not an easy path. But its about quality of life (and always should be) and dont let the bad run your life. Spend time with her and make it memorable.

We all have to lose people man. It really is the hardest part of life.

I hope your grandma can live her remaining days as pain free as possible.

not to get your hopes up or anything...but my grandpa died of widespread cancer, he had the best/most expensive treatments in the world, they cured his spinal cancer, bone marrow cancer, liver cancer, but aparently they forgot to scan his brain, whoops!

anyways, have her drink some of this

I lost my grandpa to colon cancer among other things. Just expect her to slowly wither away. Be strong with her and your family and she could very well likely live longer than any prognosis from the doctors. Every second you spend with her from now on will be the most special time you will have ever spent with her.

Cancer is a tough thing to deal with, but don't give up hope! I lost someone near and dear to me but she will be in my heart forever. About 5 years ago my mom got cancer and it was a long and arduous struggle, but she worked through it! She is alive and well today!

Sorry to hear that. I wold just suggest spending as much time with her as possible, and give her the time of her life for her remaining years.

Sorry to hear that, I lost my mother to brain cancer that spread from lung cancer a few years ago.

Like others have said, spend as much time as you can with them, and remember all the good stuff. Having people that visit you is the most important thing for someone at the hospital. Pending the location of the tumor, and spreading of it, expect either a long drawn out battle or something quick. Mood swings are likely to occur, as well as partial paralysis.

Sorry to hear the news once again.

Sorry to hear this as well. We were heading down to Phoenix last Tuesday and got the call on Sunday morning that my wife's aunt passed away down here. Very unexpected as she went to the hospital for the flu and didn't make it out. It's been pretty quiet down here because of it, it's hard to lose family members. Hope your grandmother fights it as long as possible.

My dad recently found out he has a cancerous tumor in his leg, luckily it was a very easily removable type, but I still was scared as hell to even think about loosing him, (my granddad died a few days prior to this) and I balled like a little baby, I really do know what that kind of fear and sadness is like and there Isn't anything worse on the planet, best of luck to you and your family my friend.

I just prayed for your grandmother, and I will try my best to have her in my prayers before I sleep tonight.
