If I part out my car

***Edit*** - I'm listing prices that I ***THINK*** I paid just to speed up all the questions price's could be high could be low?. - don't be afraid of them. Just a reference, and still make offers.

So I just finished real estate school. And there is a house that's going into forclosure that is to good to pass up. I'm hopefully going to buy/fix up and rent out to try to get some of the money I lost during my divorce.

I have no intention of putting any more money into my eclipse so it's got to go to help fund this project. I know I'd get more for parting it out. If I were to part it out who all would be interested in parts? If I can get enough people to make it worth my while to part it out I'll do that instead. I'll take offers but make them reasonable and don't waste your time or mine please, do your research before hand to figure out pricing, as I will before agreeing to anything.

Buyer pays shipping and handling costs.

Everything would be for sale thats on my car: $6K for entire car (this is low because I'd rather just get rid of it and not have to spend the time tearing it apart or worry about recking my grandmothers garage floor) - if I part don't expect to give offers that reflect the low 6K price tag.

here is a link to pictures of car (from about 3000 miles ago and an old list of mods there are video's on there but of my old turbo set up (3561)

Re: If I part out my car

I'm willing to do what ever gets me the most money if I part it out. (or preferably the least amount of hastle and sell it as a whole haha)

Not sure quite how to handle the offers if I should list the prices offered in my first post by the product or just keep track of who's offered what? Would it be easier if I posted the prices I paid if I can remember them?

What would you guys want to see?

And yes I will do packaged deals. And Just so everyone knows I live in South Carolina now.

Re: If I part out my car

Can someone give me a good link to a site that I can get pricing from. I'll then post those prices next to the parts those interested can get an idea of what they'd cost new. And can then get an idea of what to offer.

Hopefully that'll help - I don't want to scare any off by listing what I'd like to get. Because what I like and what I'd actually get are 2 different things. haha

Re: If I part out my car

The question to this is, if you part out the car and there's enough people wanting parts, when will the parts be available? Within a 1 month is what i'll be looking at for my parts i listed above. If your in MN i will do cash, and if your in SC i will do paypal. Anything else, I will buy a tons of parts if you decided that you will part the car and pull them off. Give me a deal if i buy the parts listed. Thanks!

bump, let me know.

Re: If I part out my car

I was working on a deal for the full complete car. however that fell through.

And seeing as they only have car ports here i'm reluctant to post it locally in fear of theft.
Anyrate I have to get an ok for the garage space/spot for when I start to part it out. Currently it's at my grandmothers house and wouldn't be a big deal except she's planning on coming down soon. (she doesn't even know it there) Once I figure that out I'll start the part out process. And yes it'll be by the end of the month. I have to leave for Alabama Next week. And won't be back till about the 20th.
I'll start with the small stuff first as that I can get off and shipped quickly.

Things like the tranny and Motor I'm still going to have to figure out how to ship so nothing gets broke, etc. (any suggestion from the shop guys who've done it before?)

Project2G 03-06-2008 06:31 PM

Re: If I part out my car

Shipping the cage would be out of the question correct? I could reweld if it was cut.

turbotalon1g 03-06-2008 06:35 PM

Re: If I part out my car

I will take that FP intake like we talked about then since your deal fell thru.
