SO! This is my proof!

So I once told someone that Jason Krause flew his helicopter indoors at a convention and flew it up against a wall held it there and then bounced off and they didn't believe me.

Well at this weekends Corpus Christy Event in Texas he decided to do it in Ron Londs Garage using Rons garage door. Here's the write up and pictures, video isn't posted yet but I'll link it once it's up.

"Highlight of the evening was seeing JK land a Trex 500 inverted on a rolled up garage door. The heli held to it with negative pitch while the door was pulled down and then the heli held against the door vertical. Then punching off the door and landing on the floor. Should see some pictures and videos following shortly"

I labeled the pictures Trex450 but it was a 500 my bad.

Sweet pics Brian... that guys got same major talent. The trex 450 or 500 will be my next heli. Don't really wanna go too much bigger than that because the dam lipo battery packs are so expensive. Mine already is between $40-50.

Ya Jason used to fly for Miniature Aircraft but now moved to Align.

I know the guys that fly the Trex around here, there battery packs cost $300 per pack. Bobby made me laugh one day. He said he pays more for battery packs then he does actual heli kits.
Anyrate I'll Post the video once I find it.

Not sure whats more impressive him or the 4yrs old Justin Chi.
Justing did the noon time demo at the 2007 XFC championships this year. He crashed towards the end of his routine but that was do to gear on his motor coming off. And yes he's only 4 yrs old I didn't believe either.

Super cool Brian. I couldn't of picked a cooler hobby to get into. Nice to dump money into something else other than the GSX for once. Q... what gyro are you running on your heli?

Re: SO! This is my proof!

I'm currently running a GY501. It's what came with the heli when I bought it, as it turns out it's the same gyro I was running back in 2000.

So I have a spare 501, I'm thinking about selling them both along with the 9254 Tail servo I'm running to get the new GY611 Gyro.

However I don't want the servo that comes with it and can't seem to find a place that sells just the gyro by itself.

I'd love to get the new BLS 451 and the BLS251 servos. Then bump up my battery pack and run 6 or 7 volts instead of the 4.8V I'm running now to get faster response time, and greater torque.

Out of curiosity is anyone thinking of going to the IRCHA event this summer in Muncie Indiana? Believe its the first or 2nd week of Aug. If those of you who fly and have never been to any major event I highly recommend it! I'll be there for sure.
