There's quite a few impound cars somewhere locally on eBay. Search "impound" on eBay motors, and pretty much all of them come up in Minneapolis. May be a way for someone to get a cheap project or beater.
Allan and Jana, here's something that might interest you. Not the S, but I know you guys were lookin at these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=31861 |
I have seen those impound cars. None say they start or anything though. There is probly a reason why they were abandoned on the side of the road. BTW, that mini cooper is in canada (KM/hr on the tack and odometer).

I thought about getting one a while ago but I don't want to but a car that was totalled and ghettoed back together. Don't know how much filler is in the car or what actually happened to it. There are several salvage yards out there selling totalled cars as fixer-upers. If an ins company will not pay to fix it, why should I?

you can find some good deals. i almost got a 95 prelude for $3000. it was salvaged but only from hail damage. it was full of little dents but ran great.
