The car is a 2G AWD with an ACT 2600 with about 5000 miles on the clutch
Lately, ever since it started getting cold, my clutch has been acting really wierd. In the fall, I re-adjusted my clutch because the engagement was getting kinda low but now it is acting totally different. I dont know if it is because it isnt adjusted right or of it is because of the cold weather. When it is cold, there is almost no pedal pressure except towards the bottom of the pedal travel. If I pump the pedal a few times, there is enough pressure to disengage the clutch all the way and get into gear normally. After the car has warmed up for about 20 minutes, the pedal is totally normal and you could not even tell there was a problem. The fluid level is normal so I dont think there is a leak. What do you guys think it could be? Thanks |
Bleed it? Have you gotten rid of the accumulator cylinder? That thing can cause weird problems sometimes.

That accumulator is still there, I was thinking about getting a SS clutch line to remove it. I will bleed it and see if that fixes it.

I just talked to my dad and he says that there is almost no pedal pressure now. You can finally feel pressure at the very bottom of the pedal travel. He also said that even after the pumped the pedal a few times, it still has no pressure. Any more ideas? I am really stumped.

Check for leaks from the master cylinder underneath the dash inside the car.

Its either the master cyclinder or the slave... Check both for leaks and see if your fluid levels go down after a bit of pumping. Id also get a SS line. I just installed mine a month ago and now its like a rock. Its nice.

Ok so I checked for leaks and it isn't leaking anywhere. I still need to bleed the system but I wont be able to get to it for another week. Any other ideas about this?
