95 talon probley

My gf has a 95 tsi awd auto it has 14b, knock off bov otherwise stock. It was running fine, but the other day she came home and heard a bang. The car wouldnt go over 15 mph. I went out to start it but wouldnt idle.. Heard exhaust leak coming from the front of engine. I then pulled off piping and checked the turbo but no play. The exhaust bolts off the o2 housing were lose so i checked the gasket and it was good so i tightend them back up. Started the car it ran for 2 sec then it died, started again and reved up but it started to miss but then it would idle... Revved up to 3500 held for a sec and it missed bad. Any help would surely be appreciated!!!!!

Did the timing belt skip? Check the timing. There are a ton of other possibilities. I would do a compression check also. Those 2 things would eliminate quite a bit.

Yup, do what JET said, then check the spark plugs and plugwires and make sure all is well there. Try resetting the ECU while you're at it.

Unplug the negative wire on the battery for about 2 minutes or so and reconnect it back.

I would say intercooler piping blew off somewhere. Do a boost-leak test.

Check to make sure all the injector clips are on nice and tight.
