Twin Disk Owners

What twin do you run? Miles on it? Power level? Overall review?

Kyle's Talon: QuarterMaster / Couple G's / 700+whp / Couldn't ask for more ;)

My Old 2g: QuarterMaster / Couple G's / 686whp / See Above

The only thing I can't comment on is lifespan as these were obviously race applications. Also in the event of a failure down the line we can get all of the rebuild components for much less than a new single disc...

QM/PTT from Devo tuning - 460 awhp, probably 4k miles on it. I love it once I got it adjusted, the bigger slave will make it even better.

I wonder if this is anygood. I have driven a few twin disk cars, they suck with out all the crazy mods you do to them.

I've heard some good things about them, but man are they crazy expensive!

Crazy mods to twin disks? How hard is it to swap a slave cylinder? Mine is pretty good without anything, but doesn't have as large of an engagement point as I like. It does grab harder than a normal disc, but the light clutch pedal and great engagement easily makes up for it, not to mention the longevity over a high torque regular disc.

I love mine. Full pedal range just like stock, lighter than stock, slightly grabbier but not jerky. And it shifts like butter which didn't happen with the ACT 3100 I had before. If you can flip for a twin, go for it.

That is one thing I forgot to mention, Steve. It does improve shifting dramatically. It slips awesome on lauch too, makes it pretty much a no brainer.

Hated mine but you know that Joe. Depends which ones you get I suppose.

We are W/D with QuarterMaster now, they just got a lot cheaper for our loyal local customers ;)

Talk nice to Steve and maybe he can take you for a spin in his car, not sure if it is put away for the winter yet or not.

Ouch, you're right. Those have come down quite a bit. They're just a bit more new than I paid used for mine last year. A good investment for those that go through clutches frequently.

Wow, that is $275 cheaper than what I got mine for.
